Poll Watchers observe and monitor the election.
Who may appoint Poll Watchers?
Political parties, candidates, any citizen interested in preserving the purity of elections.
Does the Election Commission pay Poll Watchers? NO
What is a Poll Worker?
Poll Workers conduct assigned duties at a polling site during early voting and Election Day.
Qualifications – be at least 16 years old (must be a registered voter if 18 or older), not be a candidate or close relative of a candidate, be able to read and write in the English language.
Does the Election Commission pay Poll Workers? YES
Poll Workers may opt to volunteer their services, but most are paid.
